Happy Friday 13th! Little bit of #instareality for Happy Friday 13th! Little bit of #instareality for you today… welcome to our temporary bedroom setup for the next few months 💁🏼‍♀️ Our roof extension is starting this weekend so we’ve had to switch things up and will be sleeping in the dining room. A few things have occurred to me about this: 1 (and the most important) is that our dining room is the one that gets the most 🕷 I have such a phobia and I’m not looking forward to finding more than the one I did today 😩 Note the blocked up chimney in the hope none crawl down 😂 2. We don’t have blackout blinds in here, so mornings are definitely going to be lighter 😴 3. The cat flap is in this room so we’re either going to have to block it at night or listen to Chas and Dave going in, out, in, out, in, out 🐱🐱 Anyway, need to put a rug down as it’s a bit echoey still, but I’ve put my lovely new gifted bedding on (thanks @nextofficial ) - swipe to see how pretty and summery it is 😍☀️ Have a lovely weekend everyone 👋🏻 Bedding (gifted) @nextofficial Paint Setting Plaster @farrowandball Vertical blinds @hillarysblinds
Ad / Imagine turning your spare bedroom into a dre Ad / Imagine turning your spare bedroom into a dressing room and then realising that your sheer curtains aren't going to cut it when it comes to privacy! 🙋🏼‍♀️ Luckily (for the neighbours) @scion_living saved the day and let me pick some fabric from their made-to-measure range that they turned into a blind for me. It took a while to decide as there's so many fab patterns, but I went for Tocca in Putty, which ties in perfectly with the rest of the room. What do you think? ad / When @homesense_uk approached me last year to ad / When @homesense_uk approached me last year to produce new looks for its spring summer 2022 lookbook (a catalogue of sorts that goes out to all media) it was a very easy ‘yes’! Armed with gift cards, I was let loose in various stores over a few days to pick out furniture and accessories for five different trends that I’d then style up on the photoshoot. It was a bit like supermarket sweep, with a few trollies on the go in each store – but so much more fun! I always think Homesense is a bit of a hidden gem, with its eclectic selection of homeware, but spending days in store opened my eyes to a few things I didn’t know: Homesense has new deliveries each week and it’s super popular with home stagers who want designer pieces at a fraction of the price. There are many buyers that come in on those delivery days to snap up everything from tables to vases and sofas. I knew you could get practical items in Homesense, but it also caters for the more flamboyant – canyou spot the more quirky item I chose in each of these images? If you want to see some of the pieces we picked in store, and how we used them, check out my stories later this evening, but in the meantime, I’d love to know which is your favourite of these looks (put 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 below)?
